School Admissions

If you are considering Oakley Cross as your child’s school we would welcome you to visit, meet staff and have a tour of the school. Please contact school to arrange a convenient time. 

The admission limit set for Reception 2026 is 26 children. Durham Local Authority oversee all admission arrangements for our school including admission arrangements for children with SEND or disabilities.

All new admission requests should be made via Durham County Council.

Nursery Admissions

We will provide nursery education for children from the age of 2 years. 

Nursery admissions are made directly to our school and not through Durham County Council.

Parents must meet eligibility criteria to access one of these places for free.  We also offer additional paid sessions on request and subject to space in nursery.  

Should you require a nursery place for your child, please do not hesitate to contact the school.  You can arrange to visit to our setting and meet the staff.
